Default {HELP} how to install floor pans in a 69 camaro????

hey guys, need some help,, the car is a hard top and a friend of mine is about to put new floor pans in it. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Should he just cut out the old floor pans and put in the new or should he try and brace the body before cutting? thanks john

Default Floorpans

Cut and replace them one at a time. If you are replacing the each entire floorpan I would brace it before cutting the old one out.I only replace the amount that is needed. Cut the replacement about 1/8" short and butt weld in, radius the corners because if you don't it will jam up and not fit properly. Weld a smallamount then move to the other side and weld a little ,try not to distort the panel or the cars floorpan. Billy
