Buying a Camaro tomorrow, how do I KNOW its an SS I am buying a 98 Camaro SS tomorrow and I am just curious how a person knows for sure that the car is a factory SS model. The VIN says Z28 but not SS. Is there a way to identify this by VIN or just by looking at the car itself?

Look on the driver side door. There is a sticker with a bunch of codes on it. These are the RPO codes. Look for a WU8. If it has WU8 it is an SS. If no WU8, no SS. All SS's show up on carfax or insurance as a Z28.
