Default 1999 T/A throttle cable / throttle body problem - help !

i replaced the throttle body on my 1999 t/a with one from a 2001 ws6 :
the problem is the bell crank is too big of a diameter on the 2001, making the throttle cable too short - the car has traction control so i loosened up the cable at the tc motor and made the cable as long as possible but it is still too short - can i just install a non-traction control throttle cable and be done with this ? would the car set codes or have any problems with the tc bypassed in this manner ????
thanks for your advice
p.s.
( i dont wanna put the 99 t-b back on - it is damaged - and no id rather not buy another one )

Default

You can just install a non-TC cable. You can disconect the plug on the TC and all that will happen is your light on the dash will say Its off, won't affect anything. I did mine a couple of mouths ago, removed unit, and went with a reg throttle cable. make sure oyu get the later model cable for the right length.
