Default 1971 Camaro

OK, so I know this isn't an LS1 question...but I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback. My uncle owns a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro which is a completely original car. Has never been restored, repainted or anything. The original transmission was rebuilt though.

However, its a plain jane car. Right down to the 250ci 6-cylinder and the powerglide transmission. It is right at 100,000 miles and has a protect-o-plate, and all the documentation.

The problem is, he is looking to sell the car and I have been trying (and failing) to find an approximate value. I just can't find any old 2nd gen L6 cars for sale anywhere...my guess is the few that were made have all been converted to V8 cars by now. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a source that might help me determine the value of this car...or if anyone has any ideas on what it might be worth. The only thing wrong with it is it has some paint scrapes on the rear fenders (on the seam) where the previous owner did some touchup work (which is visible).

Anyway, I could use some feedback. Also, this is not a shameless attempt to sell the car on this board...so please don't delete it, I really do need this info. Thanks!!!

I'd buy it to do an lsx swap. Colum shift kills the value of even the v8's.

I was actually thinking right at $7K...but I wasn't sure.

If the body is clean and has no rust I would say around $5-6k.

i would find a local classic car appraiser and have them appraise it. that result will also aid in the sale of the car.

In california those cars are pretty common. I'd say from 3-5k depending on condition. (hard to tell from pics.)
