they didnt number the Z28s, just the SS models. sorry.

you can look at your VIN to see what production number it is among the Camaros, but that isnt by color i dont think.

look at your VIN:
2= made in Canada
G= General motors
1= chevy, 7 = GM of canada
F/P= sport coupe/convertible
2= coupe, 3= convertible
1= active manual belts, 2= belts plus airbags
G= LS1
x= check digit
1= 2001 (model year)
2= assembled in Ste. Therese, Quebec

I thought after that '2' is the build number from that year, but mine is 135216, and i know they only build 29,009 camaros in 2001, so maybe thats total for that generation.

EDIT: after doing some math, it looks like the last 6 digits are the build number, start with 1998. if thats the case, mine is one of the first built in 2001, because according to my book, they made
49,218 '98 models
42,098 '99 models
45,461 '00 models

which is 136,777...and mine is 135,216. lol maybe its just a coincidence.

No problem. Im sure that info is around somewhere, and people would just say to search, but i always skimmed through it and never read it in detail until last night. All of that info was in a book called "standard Catalog of Camaro 1967-2002", its a great book for reference.
