Default WTH is THIS!

ok i got into my 98 z after work today and i saw a wire tucked up in the center console that was falling down so i pulled it a little and the one side is cut with like 7 colored wires wraped in a black covering. it goes up towards the center of the dash but cant see exactly where it goes. you guys have any clue?

Better, in focus pic please?

From the looks of the heat shrink, doesn't look like standard GM. Did you buy this car used?

If so, probably cable from a CD changer controller or something similar.

thats where a lot of ppl tend to run their disc changer controlers in these cars, who ever had my car first put in the disc changer and its actually sitting right there in the back ground of that pic so yea i would probably think somone had installed one and took it out as soon as they realized they wanted to sell the car
