Default Insurance

I have a 2000 Z28 and I love it to death. My dad says I might have to sell it because the insurance is too expensive...i have 2 speeding tickets and one accident under my belt. Any suggestions for a solution?

In addition to slowing down, the obvious solution is to pay for your own insurance. If it is too expensive for you, then you cannot afford the car at this time and you should sell it.

I absolutely 100% agree, I am an insurance agent and front-line underwriter. The poster needs to slow the **** down, and then pay his dad 100% for his share of the insurance.

No some states apply insurance points by driver, or per policy. They need to check that, but if its by driver then what ever the Camaro cost the poster should be kicking in for with out issue. If he cannot, the car needs to be sold. it is too much for him.

A second and less hostile idea: The driver (the son) should pay for the increase part of insurance, so that the father is paying the amout he did before everything happend
