I'm kinda thinking that would be a fun class for me. Just wondering if its gonna be a class where 10 second cars can be competitive, or if its gonna be like drag radial (not that drag radial isn't spectacular).
True Street is fun because while it is competitive, it isn't all about who has the fastest car. There are different "indexes" where racers compete and awards are given out in each index. If you take last year as an example a car running in the 8-second zone won the overall event, but that doesn't mean everyone else goes home feeling like they took a knife to a gun fight. There are 9, 10. 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15-second indexes as well. In your case, with a 10-second car, you'll be racing against others who are in the 10-second ET range, and if you have the lowest avg. ET in the 10-second range, you'll be the winner of the 10-second index. It's a huge class where everyone races for the fun of it as well as to gauge how their cars stack up against others with similar mods or combinations. Come on out, I think you'll enjoy yourself.
Bring out you car you will have a blast we will have 9 different class winners starting with KING OF THE STREET,RUNNER-UP,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 second winners See www.nmcadigital.com for the rules or the sticky on this site. Scott pretty much explained it for ya.
Location: Gainesville, Florida # of drag strips runs: ?!?!?
True Street is the class IMHO. It weeds out the posers "within reasonable doubt" and you still see honors going to others besides the winner and 2nd fastest.
