Exclamation 2014 Schedule changes - ATL/NORWALK/HOLLEY/INDY

Attention all LSX Challenge Series racers! The NMCA is considering a major change to the 2014 LSX Challenge Series schedule and we would like to hear from YOU. Instead of starting in Bradenton, we are considering beginning the Challenge Series in Atlanta (at the CHP Nationals) and adding a race in NORWALK, OH in between Atlanta and the Holley LS Fest. The schedule would be as follows:

CHP Nationals (All-GM) - Atlanta Dragway - Commerce, GA - May 30 - June 1, 2014

NMCA / LSX Challenge - Summit Motorsports Park - Norwalk, OH - August 29-31, 2014

Holley LS Fest - Beech Bend Raceway - Bowling Green, KY - Sept. 5-7 or 12-14, 2014

NMCA / LSX Shootout - Luca Oil Raceway - Indianapolis, IN - Oct. 9-12, 2014

This new schedule would give racers more time to prepare for the LSX Challenge series, give us a great venue in Ohio, and eliminate the Bradenton race. Of course, we want to HEAR FROM YOU. So, what do you think?!

Please head over to the OFFICIAL NCA LSX RACING page on Facebook and let u know what you think!

I love it and we will be at all 4 races if this happens. We skipped FL this year for the first time.

I think it would be a good for the series. I would also always skip the Bradenton race. I would make all 4 races no problem and I know it would have a way better showing.

Its a great idea we do not get a lot of participation at the Bradenton race.
I will continue to support the series no matter where it goes.

It would be nice to get the Norwalk race sometime in July.
I know you are trying to schedule with the nmca but would be nice.

I think it would be tough for a lot of people to make 2 races in a row like that. I won't complain because Norwalk is a 2 hour drive for me, but I think the southern guys would have issues.

No way for the two weeks in a row it sucks if you break with races close togeather and it is hard to get work off back to back like that. I'm a fl racer so I will be sad but I new this was coming

Should have the Norwalk race in late spring and move the Atlanta race (or another location) to early spring. Bowling Green and Indy should stay the same. Of the tracks mentioned, Atlanta is the closest track to me but I would rather race at Memphis or some other southern or mid-east coast location (Darlinton SC, South Georgia, etc.) instead of Atlanta. Atlanta is a great facility but the track prep has been consistently marginal at best. I don't plan to race there in the future for that reason.

Yeah those two races are too close together. It will be hard for alot of people to get to those races back to back like that because of work including us.

Also it would be bad if some of the racers need to fix their cars between those two races.

I think the Norwalk and Bowling Green events are to close together. It would be tough for peeps to get off for that.

No way I could drive 1090 miles back from Norwalk and then drive 675 miles to Bowling Green a couple days later. Even if I could get close to two weeks off of work it wouldn't be enjoyable.

That would be awesome! Getting off og work that many days that close together is a major issue though.

NMCA / LSX Challenge - Summit Motorsports Park - Norwalk, OH - August 29-31, 2014 Love the track but very bad date Sometime in June would be perfect!

Holley LS Fest - Beech Bend Raceway - Bowling Green, KY - Sept. 5-7 or 12-14, 2014 Do not move this race from the first weekend in September. Just 4 hours away from Beech Bend in Pigeon Forge, TN is the biggest car show / cruise of the fall 100K folks expected always happens 2nd weekend of September. A lot of us racers go to this event!

NMCA / LSX Shootout - Luca Oil Raceway - Indianapolis, IN - Oct. 9-12, 2014 OK date!

Similar to Shawn, I had a feeling Bradenton would get cut. Sucks being that track is three hours from me versus Atlanta which is a 7 hour tow. Either way, some people complained that Bradenton was too far or too early. Make sure you voice your opinion soon because the "too soon" crowd seems to be winning be based on a June start date. As some have already done, please be sure to express your opinion in a constructive way.

Derek,

Are you saying no one is looking at this thread and you have to go over to Facebook to give your opinion on tracks and dates?

If you are going to have 4 races during the year why would you run 3 of them back to back more or less?

August/September/October
