Default 2015 LSX rules and classes posted.

http://www.nmcadigital.com/rules_purses/nmca_lsx/

Who's running what?

Rumble vs Street King. TB vs FB.

In my opinion, they should have the winner of each index class have a run off at the end of the day for bragging rights.

I'm undecided still.

Either CPS, SK, or Rumble.

Looks like the new Street King class will be fun. I like the split between 11.00 fastest ET in Rumble and 10.75 slowest ET in Street King this should make for good racing.

Glad to see the rules defined by NMCA regarding throttle stops for both Rumble and the new Street King class. The rules address competitors changing the percentage of how far the throttle blade can open on a drive by wire throttle body by using different programs in the cars computer for different race conditions. Pretty clear below the throttle blade should open all the way when the gas pedal is on the floor.

From the posted rules below

"All Electronic Throttle Stops and related throttle-stop type accessories prohibited."

Always nice to see closer pairings but i wonder how much this will help. it is still bracket racing a most all the faster folks i have talked to still don't want to bracket race. Transbrakes make a huge difference. I got my clock cleaned by t-brake cars all the time. the tb rule, if that is what it is intended to do will just make different, it won't stop the guys doing well with index from doing well with index.

Glad to see the series still growing.

I think if i were still in it, I would be leaning to slowing down.

Pete you really think of going CPS?

My plan is to be a first round duck for someone in Real Street. Still way too much to do on the car before the first race. I got bored with the index class and was looking to change things up.

I was keeping a close eye on the CPS class but lost some interest when the rules said auto only and lost all my interest when it said oem glass and no mini tubs. Not the time for me to start building a new car and buying the engine, controller, and a high dollar auto trans to compete. Waiting on the announcements for CPS got me a late start on my chosen direction, but there's nothing like a little pressure to add motivation!

I like the concept of CPS. I'm just not convinced a vette is the best platform for the class without spending a crap load of money to set it up properly.

SK vs LSX... Still up in the air.

Happy New Year Pete!

I think you might have a better chance in SK LOL!!! (fingers crossed)depending on any new cars showing up but only time will tell. The problem i am seeing with Rumble is all the 5TH Gen's from 11.0 and slower will be in the class now which will bring the car count back up although I am not opposed to it, it appears to me that the split was done to lower the car count at some races, some could not race because of the "no transbrake rule" and then they did away with the 5TH Gen class. There was only a hand full of 5TH gens that were quicker than 11.0.

I wanted to let all of the Chevrolet Performance LSX racers know if they have not read the new rules for the upcoming season you need to do so. There has been quite a few changes made from the 2014 season.

#1 You are now required to be an NMCA member.
#2 The car numbers have been changed in all of the LSX classes.
#3 Rumble class has been split per ET 11.0 to 15.0.
#4 Added Street King with ET being 10.75 and quicker. (Transbrakes allowed)
#5 Added Chevrolet Performance Stock
#6 5th Gen class rolled over into Rumble and Street King

This is just some of the changes that has been made.

The main thing that everyone needs to know is, for the Membership NMCA is offering a 50% discount from now until May 15, 2015. After the 15th
you will be paying the full price which is $49.95, if you wait until the first race. Chevy High Performance Nationals, Atlanta Dragway at the end of May.

I spoke to Jamie with NMCA today and she told me that there has not been any activity to get registered ahead of time to get the discount. Racers you need to get in gear and get things rolling if you are racing this year.

Racers when you are on a budget, it doesn't hurt to save any where you can get it.

Give Jamie a call at Promedia (714)-444-2426.

I had no idea until you told me a couple weeks ago that you didn't have to be an NMCA member to race the LSX series.

I spoke with Rollie the other day and he kept correcting me whenever I said the LSX series... It's the Chevrolet Performance Series... Not quite as catchy in my opinion...

Yes! Up until this year we did not have to be a member. They added us to their official lineup now, so we should now be eligible for all of the NMCA hardware at each race. Trying to get the word out to everyone so they can save a few bucks before the first race.

Does the C7 qualify for lsx series even though it's a LT car? Does it go into the ltx shootout now?

It is allowed to run in LSX even though has the LT1 engine. Just depends on your ET as to which class. Rumble 11:00 to 15:00 or Street King 10:75 to 8:00. We had few that ran the series last year.

That's why they call it the Chevrolet performance series. Because it's no longer just the LSX. The C7 came along...

If you are refering to any GM vehicle prior to the LS versions coming out in 1998, only if they have an LS engine swap. What GM is doing is promoting the new LT1 and LT4 in the C7 and the not too distant 6th gen Camaro that will be coming out. From what i understand they will allow the 5th gen and 6th gen Camaro with the V-6 engine to compete as well.
You can pull up the NMCA web site and read the rules for the Chevrolet Performance Series and it explains what is allowed if you haven't already read it.

How many 5th Gens do you think will be in Street King?

Seems there were only 3-4 quicker than 11.0, but I really don't remember.

I guess I understand why the NMCA created these two classes, but really, how many cars in rumble and 5th gen run a T-brake?
I'm talking about regulars, not the masses that come in for LSFest.
