Default harness blues...

After reading all the great posts and stickies, I felt confident enough to tackle the harness....I'm still (a little) confident that I can do it, but I have a couple of questions to my 2006 5.3 (L59) truck harness.
1. Which two pinouts are used for the OBDII serial data signals? For the two ground wires...can I cross the ground on the plug, or does it have to be both ground wires coming to the plug?
2. Which pin #'s can I eliminate on plug C2, PCM (c1,c2), c152? I know what I must keep, just not sure what I can ditch. I'll be running pcm controlled a/c, evap stays, pcm controlled fans, and fuel level sensor (c152 pin K for ethanol purpose)?
3. I love the 1998 LS1 retrofit schematic. I'm using it as a reference, but it would be great if there's one specific to the truck harness. Is there?....I'd pay!

...one more add-on...
Which "vehicle speed signal" do I use for the speedo, the one from plug c152(ye/bk) or the one from plug c100 (gn/wh)?
