Default 05 Vette alternator wiring question

I'm doing a swap using an LS2 from a 05 Vette. One question I have about the wiring is that on the alternator plug there is a red/white wire that goes to the Vette under hood fuse/relay box. Anybody know what this wire is and if there is anything I need to do to it to complete my swap?

That wire goes to the horn circuit which includes the Alternator Sense circuit. I believe this is used by the BCM (body control module) to see the load on the system so it can make changes based on alternator output. Not needed unless you have the vette.
