Default 64 Malibu F-body pan, does it fit without mod? Tried search didn't find clear ans

I am in the process of collecting parts for my LQ4 swap into a 64 Malibu and I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a F-body oil pan.

I originally was thinking the LH8 pan but it still hangs low according to posts here. I haven't chosen a specific engine mounting plate manufacturer yet so if this drives whether or not I can use the F-body pan that's ok.

I just want to make sure it fits before I buy it. I don't have access to the car and haven't pulled the original drivetrain yet so I can't do any measuring.

TIA

Bobby

Here is some photos of our 64 tempest with some pics of the LH8 on the car, when you use it with the BRP kit it considerable reduces pan hang.

I read the entire oil pan sticky as well....

I don't want to use the LH8 pan if I can use the F-body pan since I can get a good deal on it.

I just want to know if the F pan fits without any modification, if you are using it without clearance issues what motor mounts are you using?

It will be a tough fit, do you plan to run A/C? We use to use the F-body pans before the Lh8 and it required trans tunnels mods and a notch for the A/C if you want to run the compressor in stock location.

The fbody pan is not a good fit at all. I ended up going with the moroso pan.

Is the motor in? Do you have any clearance issue, care to elaborate.

it was, i removed it to clean the frame and paint...i dont have any clearance issues, i used 68-72 Chevelle motor mounts with a plate adapter for the block, I then set the motor in the frame and adjusted for tie rod and oil pan clearance and welded the motor mounts to the frame....

So is the engine sitting really high or really far back?
