Default She's Alive!!!

Swapped the coilpack for a new set and it fired right off.

Stumbling around on idle a bit, but that's a combination of cam and learning I'm sure, it's already cleaning up. Haven't been hard into it yet, but once the cam hits around 3500 she pulls hard up to the 5600shift

I'll get a video up later tonight unless I'm out driving some more! This thing rocks!

I was just insanely happy to hear it run. I have been without my car since the first week of June.

Might not sound like much to you guys, but I haven't gone more than about 2 weeks without driving this thing since I bought it when I was 16. And those times it was down for blown engines or trannys, this is my daily driver baby haha.

I love the way it starts every time I bump the ignition though, that's awesome! Not to mention the sound through the cutouts

Congratulations! don't you just love the way the EFI starts up and run!..

Doesn't it feel Awesome to get it fired up for the 1st time.. ! and then to just drive it down the road. Wait to you start hitting the local hang outs and show.. everyone will be looking and questioning you !...

So keep us posted now on how it comes around and if you get it tuned.

Way to go man, I'm happy for ya.

When my car is down, a good part of me is down with it so I can definitely relate.

Is there some method to teaching the tranny how to work? I don't have the TCC switch on yet or the other switch to tell it when it's in gear, but it seems to be rushing gears pretty bad unless its WOT or close to it. Also when in gear the engine rpms go up to 1200-1500 with my foot off the throttle.

Shifts are nice and firm, not harsh, but it still slips tires on a 3/4 throttle 1-2 shift.

I'm puting the TCC switch on today before I drive any more, and also adjusting the shift linkage so I can manually shift it from low, right now it won't kick to 1st on its own and I can't pull it down because the shifter is 1 notch off on everything.

I know the thing has been sitting for at least year, so that could be part of it I suppose. It had clean fluid in when I bought it but that's as much as I know.

PS: I tried to put the video on you tube twice, but it gets to 100% then stops doing anything but the video won't show up. I'll try again when I get to Fayetteville and have faster internet
