Anyone try a 4l60E Automatic into a LS1 Miata. I know most guys like to shift but an automatic would be nicer for some of us.
Anyone?

I am concerned with the larger bellhousing and the pan width.

Why did you go to a manual trans ?

Yes, it fit. I wanted manual originally, but the engine/trans combo I found was an auto; so I went with it. The manual (T-56) is much better, IMO.

You will love the auto transmission if your goals are a street car or drag car. The only way I see a manual being better is if you plan on auto-crossing. Manual= more fun with the car, Automatic= more fun feeling up the girl riding with you while you tear up the competition!

I can set up the trans tables to make it shift like a manual trans with me shifting it manually. Also I'm just not a big fan of shifting or A-cross.
