Has anyone used the Transadapt SBC motor mount shims?
http://www.tdperformance.com/products/?id=3288
part number 4125
I did a search for these motor mount shims by part number here on LS1Tech with no results so I'm merely seeking suggestions or opinions here.
I currently have 1/4" metal plates to cut for the LS1 engine mount plates. And I know some people make their own shims or use washer for spacers between the SBC motor mounts and the LS1 mount plates but I'm looking to keep my install looking factory clean. I plan to hang onto this car for a couple years.
I'm sure I could cut extra metal plates to create my own spacers but this Transadapt plate looks real clean and is priced right at $17 USD to save me time and extra effort.
BTW. I'm installing a 2001 LS1 \ 4L60E into a 1966 Chevy II Sedan with the factory front clip.
PM me if you want to purchase a working I-6 and PG trans. I have pictures and a video of the motor running before I took the engine out last weekend...
thanks, Brad
