Pics of my 84 C10 Project - Finally!
Should have done this to begin with but better late than never...Got a dirt cheap 84 Chevy SWB w/ a 6 cyl. My plan is to build the cheapest truck I can, use used parts where I can, but cut absolutely no corners. LKQ 2007 5.3 & 4sp auto w/ 7k. Wheels & tires form a 98 (need to flip black-walls out). All in, wired, plumbed, drive-shaft, modded stock shifter, stock a/c comp (no a/c lines yet), AutoMeter Traditional Chrome guages in modded stock bezel, but can't get signal to my injectors so it WILL NOT FIRE--- separate thread. Thanks for all who helped me this far along, even w/o Pics!

Thanks. All done w/ budget in mind. I know its no show car. I plan to paint it Silver Birch Metallic from the newer Chevys. Should look pretty decent, I hope.

Really the only one I have but I could take a couple more. I used 2 1/16" & 3 3/8" gauges. It was pretty straight forward and not as bad as I'd heard. I cut about an inch off the back of all the pods on the back of the bezel so the body of the gauges would pass thru and used the supplied Autometer mounts. For the tach & speedo I made a couple of spacer rings to go from the inside lip of the stock bezel to the bezel on the gauges. I was initially afraid the 2 1/16 & 3 3/8" would look too small but I think it worked out well. I've seen the 2 5/8 & 5" mounting in these panels but you have to hack the hell out of the panel and I think the spacing looks funny. The smaller gauges allow them to sit more inset into the panel. I'm going to refinish and paint the panel as u can see mine is scratched up. I'll try to get a couple of pics later or tomorrow. I'm still focused on the fact that damned thing won't run.

Had steel wheels but caps broken & missing & bald tires. Paid $100 for these so I figured why not. Hope to surprise a few here and there anyway...
