Question Queation about water pumps

I would like to know if water pump from a truck, 4.8,5.3 and 6.0L engine will work on a 5.7L LS1 ? thats in advance for any info

Yes it pysically will, however you will run into problems with the water outlet on the top of the truck pump compared to the outlet on the front of the LS pump

The belt won't line up either. It's out too far.

I bought an F body water pump for the front facing outlet and swapped the pulley's so I could still us the truck accessory. LQ4 in a first gen camaro.
