Default LS7 in a Challenger

Is it possible? has it been done before?

The engine is going into a 72challenger!

i'm sure its possible. couldnt be too hard. Theres alot of room in those engine bays if i remember right. I'm sure people have put SBCs in them. just weld some mounts to the frame and bolt it in lol

On a challenger the sump of the oil pan is mowed to the foreword because of the steering.. Apposed to GM that almost always have them in the back of the oil pan. Thus, there could be problems concerning the steering of the Challenger because of the dry sump, that even though it's not as deep as conventional chevy wet sump, might interere with the center link.

Anyone ever heard of this swap before?

use the GTO pan.
i will need to see this. if you complete this you need to take it mopar nationals lol.
i always wanted to get an old dart and run a SBC. i dislike mopar and if you can complete this you will be my new hero lol.

Hmm.. The GTO pan wont fit the LS7 engine.. The GTO drives a wet sump oil system.

Just get a 426 new hemi stroker small block and be done? Same money, more power and the parts are made......

Btw, the LS2 is underrated if you ask me.. I just completed a ls2 conversion in a 71 vette.. It has become incredibly fast. So good luck

As far as i know it's not a simple job to do so. But it might become necessary. Is there a kit out there available or anything?
