Default T56 Swap in 71 Bird

Do I use the stock boot on the floor or do I have to use another boot? I want to seal off the hole in the floor and then use a nicer boot on the console. Any recommendations?

I sealed off my hole using the rubber boot from my donor car. Had to beat it and bend it to fit the tunnel, though.

I did a t56 in my 77Z behind a SBC. Maybe this will help?

I used the stock 99 Z boot/seal, but I made my own 'hump' on the floor.

Do you already have it installed, did you go with a hydraulic or manual clutch?
