Default project JYD Nova coming together.

I am so close to cranking this thing . Just got headers done and on the car last night.

here is a picture of the car and the drivers side headers. Have not taken a pic of the passenger side yet .
the car weighed 2350 with a iron headed big block and now has a 347 ls6 block with mahle 4cc flat tops, Scat ibeam rods, stock crank. Heads are 5.3 castings with 2.0 int, 1.60 exh. valves ported locally . heads have been milled to 54cc's and to 11.7/1 compression.
the cam is a cam motion 239/243 .61x lift 112lsa 110 cl .
Transmission is a th 350 with a 8" BTE converter set for around a 5200 stall and rear end is narrowed with 4.11 gears and 31x13 m/t slicks.

I am shooting to run at the Arm Drop Race at No Problem raceway Dec 5-6th with Rich Christianson form pinks. that is my goal but if all goes well I may have it at the track for some tuning this sunday. That all depends on everything going right

I love the old-school snorkel hood with new technology underneath.

Had Dad duties take up a lot of my time today so The car did not crank but I did get a lot done in the time I had. Still did not try to crank it but all I have to do to crank it is fill the coolant , put the valve cover back on the drivers side along with coil pack. hook up the spark plug wires and hope it cranks.

I get people all the time telling me to change that hood scoop but I am not touching it. I like the nostalgic look and new school muscle myself. I even like the flat black primer and thinking of putting scull and cross bone decals.

I have to clean my trans am all the time , I dont need a second car to clean on all the time.

Every thing is done , just got to figure out why it wont crank now. I may have a bad computer as my injectors are not getting signal but have 12 volts to them.

I guess next week when I get home from work I will try the computer out of my trans am.

Man that is light! If you went from an iron BBC you're looking at dropping 400lbs. You're down to 1900lbs. Thats insane. Your body must be all glass right?

where are you all getting 90 deg elbo's for your air intakes? I have it running with the maf sticking straight in front of the TB but need to make the 90 deg turn to the side. Car cranked and ran great with minor tuning after finding that the harness under the coil packs were flipped before I got the coil packs . Talk about mess you up trying to diagnose it.

This cam sounds Nasty

Man I bought the car already like this. I just did the swap from the big block to the LS1.

I think VFN has them though as we looked at them for my dads Chevelle.

Finally got her running and Think I am ready to go to the track or a dyno to tune it. I cant drive it around my house to tune it so for now I have only worked on the idle.
I did launch it on my cement slab but it is so short that once you stab the throttle you have to get on the brakes . Feels good though
