Default Project Budget 69 C-10 5.3 Swap -- Added new pics 1/20

Just picked this up last week, brought it in the garage yesterday. Cleaned up a decent mileage 5.3 and painted it. Set it in tonight for mockup. Plan is to have it back out, engine compartment painted and engine/ trans bolted in by the end of the coming week. The truck is from Cali and is pretty clean with some not so great paint. Its tubbed with a 12 bolt/ ladder bars/ coilovers and 31x18.5 tires. Thinking about painting it satin black, maybe some flames and the plan is to have it done and up for sale sometime in january.

Sorry for the pics....cellphone...lost my camera somewhere......

Damn your a few steps ahead of me on my 70 shortbed. I have to finish smoothing the firewall and then start on the header modifications of my cammed 5.3. Was the truck originally a leaf spring converted to ladder bar setup truck?

Nice setup!

We have a few of the details of this swap outlined in the build thread for our '68 shop truck.

Mast Motorsports 530HP L92 VVT '68 Short/Wide

Hope this helps!!!

It does still have the 4 speed in it, but its going to be an auto. Gotta go the cheaper route to get the thing together unfortunately.

The engine color is a Graphite wheel paint from the auto parts store. Its held up just fine on my Turbo LS car so I keep using it cause I like the way it looks

That motor looks real nice. What accessory drive do you got on there? I like how everything sits.

Thanks guys....

I just made the accessory stuff...uses the stock old saginaw power steering pump and original lines. Doesn't look all that great but it should work
