Default Project Extreme-G updates - End of September

Front subframe is back from the powder coater. Went with gloss black inside and out. Front suspension is being assembled (all Global West components, with QA1 12-way shocks)

Forged internal 348ci 2002 LS6 is completed, needs to be final assembled (currently a shortblock). Stage 2 ported LS6 heads are done and waiting.

Factory 12-bolt was sandblasted and taken apart. I just finished reassembling it and painting it with POR15. Looks brand new again! Rear suspension components are ready to install (Global West lowering leafs, Cal-Trac traction bars)

Here is my newest item to show up:

Here is the custom built Magnacharger for my 1969 Camaro (for a forged internal 348ci LS6). This setup has the air/water intercooler under the blower, a repositioned blower location, and runs on the LS1 f-body serpentine belt setup.

Similar drive shaft layout as the current Corvette setup, but with an intercooler to help produce more boost.

Can't wait to get this thing installed!

Hey that sounds like real fun. One word of warning to you, brake fluid will take off that POR-15 like nobodys buisness.
Good luck with your project, I wish the swap in my dad's '55 chevy was going that quickly.

That blower is exactly what I want to do to the vette. Where did you get that setup? How much did it cost? I talked to a couple of places and they said you could not mount the backwards vette style on the intercooler lower manifold. Turns out they were wrong.

Magnacharger custom built it for my car. Its not in their catalogs yet, but they plan to market the kit as a custom-built to order setup known as the "Hotrod" kit. I helped them size out the kit and worked with them for the last 5 months, so I got a good discount. Not sure what retail on the kit is. www.Magnacharger.com

I do know that they built 2 other kits like this for other "Hotrod" projects like mine. Basically their other press cars.

That is impressive... I don't think I have ever seen a roots type blower on an LS1 before. Can't wait to see it all together

Magnacharger started selling their LS1/LS6 Corvette kit about a year ago, I've seen a ton of those installed at MTI. Awesome quality, and worth approximately 110-120 rwhp on a stock C5!

They also sell similar kits to this one for all 4.8L-6.0L LS1-based fullsize GM trucks. Check out their webpage

Guessing 500-525 rwhp conservatively, on 93 octane.
