LS1 almost ready to fire up - What next?
I have got my LS1 into my 56 chevy, all wiring hooked up, computer programmed, fluids topped off, all accessories installed and ready to go. Ready to turn the ignition and crank it over!
I built the LS1 from the oil pan up, with all new/refurbished components. I have heard that I will need to take it to a dealer for 'learning' or 'synchronizing' or something like that.
Is this true? Will I be able to start/drive it to the dealer or will I need to trailer it? What will the dealer do...and will they scratch it!!??!?!
What are the final steps that I need to do before cranking the engine??
Thanks,

If you've already had the computer tuned you should be good to go as far as starting it. I'm assuming the vats has been deleted. I would crank it until you know your going to get some oil pressure before you start it. You don't have to take it to the dealer, they would probably look at you with a deer in the headlights look anyway.
