thought for 93 v6 camaro to lsx?
Might be picking up a polo green 93 v6 camaro that's a auto for $500. How hard would it be to swap in a ls based engine into this?? Thanks pretty much going to be a track car and keep it auto. Mechanics are nothing for me so that's not a issue. Thanks guys. Oh yeah tried a search but my phone isn't really letting me do a search

I have always believed that you'd be dollars ahead by just buying a high mileage LS1 or a nearly complete project. It's the law of diminished returns when you start with a car that is furthest away from your performance goals. That's my opinion, it's kind of like having a goal of driving an 11 second street car and you build a Pinto instead of starting with an LS1 F-body or 4 valve Cobra.
The argument can be made that you will replace the K member, rear, suspension and such anyway, but until you have that money you're ahead of the game with a cheap LS1 car because you have the engine, tranny, ECU, wiring, fuel system and so on that can get you into the 12's on a good running car if you drop the weight and spend money wisely.
I'd rather get a Z28 or TA/Formula with high mileage that was owned by a secretary and baseline it, then gut the weight, then do basic mods and move on from their as opposed to buying the slow V6, gutting it, getting the wiring, getting a V8, a built tranny etc and hoping to have it finished and running in a timely manner.
What class do you want to run in? You may even be better off buying a racecar with no engine/tranny from someone who needs holiday money or fell on hard times. Plenty of those deals on here and Racingjunk.com to be had.
I hope that whatever you do works for you.

Thanks man.
I've got about $6k into the Engine Swap, another $1500 into the Auto Tranny at the time, and I have about $3k into the T56 Swap that I just got all the parts for.
I've probably saved easily $30k in labor by doing all the work myself that I have ever done to that Car.
If you click on the underlined parts in my sig, they will take you to different links about the Car.
