Wow looks like you don't have much experience with burnouts! Sweet truck, I really like those body styles. Nice work

i never discount the 4.8/5.3 motors,
they can make some good power, in my rcsb with a 4.8 ive ran down some mustangs and even lt1 fbodys and even taken a few from a dig and a roll
with tools or stuff in the bed lol!

No build thread sorry. I wish that I had,but while I was doing the install I didn't want to stop long enough to take the pics.

It's like when I started it for the first time I wanted to video it,but when I turned the key to make sure I had the starter power wired correct it cranked and ran!

Thanks guys.I'll try to get another tire shread and post a few other pics next week.

Cool man. Im big into the chevy's. The truck in my avatar is my '62, which I unfortunately wrecked. Then I got the '68, rebuilt it for my senior project, and now want to rebuild it again with Gen III power!

Also I dropped it 3 1/2 in front 4 in rear, disc brake front redrilled rear axle bolt pattern and added a posi to the 3.73s.
I allmost forgot it was a long wheel base when I bought it.

A whole lot left to go!!

No crossover duals all the way.

Took a little research, but wasn't too bad when I found the pinouts. Now if I can just figure out how to get the warning led's disabled.

The pic was with the cruise set at 55.

Here's another short vid, scared my cameraman half to death.Gotta find a better location. No brakes just throttle.

Then traffic wouldn't allow another try.Sorry Lucky!

That was awesome!! Must be makin some decent power, you got pretty sideways! No sweat, I understand about being hindered by traffic, and also not wanting to sit and roast your expensive tires. (Mine are junkers) My truck wont do that from a throttle stomp, so you've got me there! I cant wait to throw a Gen III in mine.
