Default When in Rome, Project used parts 1970 C10

Well I've owned this truck for almost 10 years. About 8 years ago I got a little drunk and showing off made the front bumper smile like the joker. A thorough inspection revealed the ex-body mans truck was in serious need of help. I got my first taste at body work. See cab rework here http://rides.webshots.com/album/27653366FWjnQnrHkJ . After the cab rework (all the flooring, smoothed lower firewall seam, and if you can name it or think of it) I got burned out and the truck sat for 5.5 years in a shed.

Now i've started back on it with a vengence and I'm calling it project "Used Parts", well because most of the motor and driveline parts are used from f-bodies, trucks, and whatever else I can incorporate with a fashionable flair. Takeout 5.3 with 38k miles, now has Cometic 0.04" gaskets, studs, an old favorite 236/228 cam, and working on the Pacesetter F-body headers currently. Tubular motor mounts, my favorite th350 w/manual valve body and a 3600 stall feeding the stock style (1971 swapped) 12 bolt with 3.73's and reworked stock posi.

When the headers are finished I'l make another rack and pinion kit for this truck. 9 years ago I made one with a pinto powered rack and it worked quite well. So I'll try either a f-body rack or a Vette rack depending on shaft alignment. Also finally converting the manual brakes to power assist.

I am not afraid of used parts either. Good luck with your truck. I'd consider OD myself. Other than that, lookin' great!
