You can get a F-body or CTS-V oil bypass plate to cover up were the oil cooler fitting goes.. if using the F-body one, it is a great place to add a oil pressure sensor for a aftermarket gauge.

The crank sensor should be on the passenger side near the starter..

The crank sensor is behind the starter. And I'm pretty sure you can just remove the oil cooler and put the filter directly on the oil pan. Oh wait, I was thinking old school type oil cooler, bczee is right about the adapter part!

That little piece that bolts to the Pan for the crossover is actually on anything without an Oil Cooler. Just make sure you get the Gasket with it too.
