Keep all the sensors and only the accessories that you plan to run off your longblock. You will also need the coil packs. To mate the TH350 to the lsx you will need an early 6.0 flexplate and the spacer that GM sells or an ls1 specific converter. A little research will get you the p/n for the spacer.

Headers? American Racing and Kooks both make a set exclusively for the conversion. ARH's are $599, Kooks are a little pricier but worth the money imo. I am going to go with the Kooks.

K member? AJE LS1 swap K member hands down. With that K member in place, it took less than 5 minutes to get the engine in place. Also, I dont know about other models but the factory trans crossmember worked PERFECTLY with my TH350. Just redrilled the holes in the crossmember and the trans bolted right in place.

hope some of that stuff helps. Im in the middle of this exact swap and have not really had any problems until the clearance issues with the exhaust.

Yes. if you are going with a carbed setup you will not need your intake or fuel rails.

Also eric, I strongly recommend buying the AJE K member, AJE tubular A arms, and a coilover conversion kit (your choice of manufacturer) for your front suspension. It really cleans up the front end of the car and gives it an awesome stance. It also installs very easily. That stuff can be bought in a kit from various suppliers for around $1300.

As far as the control box for your engine, stick with the MSD 6010. It is a much more versatile and tuning friendly setup than the Edelbrock unit. Good luck with your build and let me know if you need any more help. Im no expert but I am progressing nicely with the build.

not to hijack but 2 quick questions ,1) all you had to do for a th350 was redrill the holes on the Xmember for the trans mount bolts? 2) i have an aje k member for a 4.6 in a fox, that im going to modify the stock 4.6 mounts for my 5.3l, you think this will move the engine forward or should i end up in about the same space as you?

I used a 4.6 K member in the 99 GT we did and cut off the 4.6 mounts. We remade them using a U shaped piece to fit the stock camaro mount. It only took an hour to fab it all up and it came out sweet. I don't know about the trans crossmember cause we reused the TKO500 but it stayed in the same location. G
