Default LS6 Wide body Monster Miata

Hi there,
I'm from Montreal, Quebec (Canada) and I would like to share with you my little project. It's a 1999 Miata into wich I previously had a LT4 but the guy who put the engine into it did a bad job. Here my first ride:
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=...evy+Miata+1999

Unfortunately we had to take the engine out and we discovered that the heads were perforated. Same time I got a deal on a 2005 LS6 out of a CTS-V Cadillac with a 6 speed manual transmission, I bought it. By that time I started the wide body work.

Here is the car after 5 weeks of hard labour. When the body is finished, I put back in the LS6 and here we go !!!

Complete overview of the car:

The first time we entered the LT-4 in place:

Rear end, 7cm wider than the 2009 SRT-10 Dodge Viper:

And a little video of my last visit at the shop:
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=...+VEight+week+5

I have so much to talk about, to share with you... If you like the project, let me know, it could be the beginning of a long talk. I will need your help for engine mod soon !!!

Thank you in advance guys !

What's 7cm? Crazy canucks-lol. That looks like it'll be one sick ride when you're done.

it looks like a side skirt would cover it up...the front is way lower than the side and it looks like theres a piece missing in front of the rear wheel...probably just did it that way for the picture to show the custom setup

Are the rear tires mounted on those rims temporarily? They look like the tires need to be substantially wider to fit those rims.

I know some guys in VW's do the same thing with putting a rear narrow tire on a wider rim, but it just doesn't look right at all.

Keep us updated with more pics.

i always thought the skinner tire on the wider rim was for lowering purposes; like if the fender well come down that far the angle created by the skinner tire would clear the fender.

maybe i'm wrong.

Default Miata follow-up

Hi there...

First, 7cm means 7 centimeters, like about 3 inches wider than the 2009 Viper I meant...

Second: The tire have been put there very fast, thay are wrong side I see yea,,, There will be Falken AZENIS sponsored tires from Fast (to be confirmed) and there will be 275/35/18 in the front and 315/30/18 rear.

Third: The side pipes will be covered, we just did no finished this part !

And finally, thank you for all these comments ! I'm sorry I did not reply faster but I did not have email to say I have comments, I will try to fix this !

I'm going to see the car tomorow and will post you some more pictures and videos !
Thanks again buddies !!!
