Default What radiator are you guys using for your swap?

I have a Be Cool that was used behind the Big Block (Dual Electric Fans). I was under the impression this will work fine. The term Cross flow LSX swap radiator is raising my eyebrows.

Let me know what you guys used and if mine will work.

Thanks

I was planning on this. Any reason why this would be a bad plan?

No reason. Wire it to the PCM. Remember the PCM grounds the cooling fan relay it doesnt give it 12v

And I'm running a generic griffin circle track radiator. Its small but seems to work great.

I bought an all-aluminum with dual electric fans off of e-bay. It's sold specifically as a swap raiator so it has a stem vent intake and the hose necks are smaller to fit the late model hoses.

FSR Double Pass have the inlet and outlet on the same side, are all aluminum, come in several sizes, and are only $209 plus shipping. I have heard good reviews on them too

I am using a EBay alum replacement Radiator for my 71' with duel SPAL fans and a SPAL Standalone Fan Controller.

Depending on your HP output, your BB radiator should be find. Just make sure you use a good FAN Sstup.

Default Steam Vent

What about the steam vent from the intake? What did you guys do with that? What is the proper way to re-introduce it to the cooling system?

So far, I'm planning on using the stock radiator that came in the car - but I've always been pretty leery of the plastic end tanks, so it probably wouldn't take too much to get me to agree to an all-metal one...

And at the moment, I'm thinking about using some metal tube as a good-sized part of the upper radiator hose, & just brazing a fitting onto that. Or maybe doing the same kind of thing with one of the heater hoses...

We'll see.
