I found a 5.3 combo, should I buy it?
I just found a 5.3/4L60 (not 4L60E) for sale. Guy wants $1,000. It has a factory harness, computer with vats & rear O2 sensors removed, no accessories, Z06 cam/valvesprings installed.
Seems like a good deal to me, what does everyone else think.
What accessory system would be best to put this in a 64 chevelle. I was thinking of doing truck accessories, would f-body or other be better?

How many miles are on the drivetrain? Does it come with the torque convertor? Is it DBW or DBC?
If it's low mileage, I'd say go for it. Go to car-part.com and try to price the stuff individually. That should give you good idea of what you'd be looking at if you bought it peice-by-peice.

Engine 50,000 miles, tranny 30,000 miles. Torque converter and LSx flywheel adapter included.
New pair of shorty headers included also. I guess these will fit a chevelle????
It is drive by cable. Will this be a problem with the engine sitting so close to the firewall in an A-body?
