Default torque arm mount not the same, input needed.

On my v6 tranny the 3 holes on the tailshaft are closer together than the ls1 a4. My torque arm mount i think it is called will not line up. Anything i can do ? Can tailshafts me swapped ? Do i need a ls1 torque arm mount ?

I really don't think that you're going to be happy if you try to use your V6 tranny behind an LS-series engine...

What is it that you are doing, a LSx swap in a v-6 car? Might beable to pull the tail shafts off and switch them to make them fit. I thought the TA rubber inserts were the same in all year 4th gens, so why not use the v-6 rubber mounts with the v6 trans?

It sounded (to me) as though he's wanting to use the T-5 trans that came stock behind his 3.8 with an LS-series V8. In my initial response to his post, I wrote that you probably could swap tailshafts - but then saw that it looked like he wanted to use the V6 transmission, & edited my post.

And considering the fact that GM wouldn't even put a T-5 behind the "limp-noodle" TPI 350 engines, you can imagine how long it would last when paired up with an LS...

You will need a LS1 A4 bracket. The brackets are different for the two v6 and two V8 transmissions.

I have contacted surferd15 on here about the bracket and he refuses to return my calls. I will be paying him a visit shortly if this motor is damaged.
