I'm currently swapping a lq4 6.0 into my '95. Use your factory k-member and 4.6 mounts and make up a plate like this:

I used 1/4" steel, took a diegrinder and ovaled the holes out on the 4.6 mounts. Dropped right in like it was meant to be there. I used a 4l80e tranny so can't help with the manual. here's a link to my build.

what about wiring, is it possible to connect my stock harness to the ls1 harness, if so what would be necessary to make it work. and any ideas about tranny options???

you can have a stock ls harness modified so it is stand alone and run aftermarket gauges. thats what I'm doing. As for the trans, I chose the A4 for simplicity over the M6. The M6's are hydralic actuated clutches. The mustangs are cable, so it makes the swap more complex. Its doable tho

I've been trying to find info on this swap for a while it sucks you can't get a plug and play wiring harness to make your stock mustang guages work with the ls1 engine. Does anyone have any tranny swap info available? You always see automatics thread what about some manual transmission.

Quicktime makes a LSX to T-5/tko 5 spd tranny, I modified a Lakewood bellhousing to work with the mustang cable operated clutch setup

popular hotrodding mag did the swap with a t56 into a fox. They used '87-'88 turbo T-bird pedals since they were hydralic actuated. Then they modified a camaro master cylinder.
