Default 79 Camaro/LS2

Hi everyone, I have been looking and reading on this site for some time and am very impressed with all the cars and people on here. I am a rookie trying to get my 79 camaro on the road. I put a ls2 out of a gto in and was very happy once I got it running but am far from moving out of shop. The latest problem I am dealing with is my pitman arm hitting my altenator. I was running out of money on this and didn't want to buy a 1800.00 rack & pinion that still needed modifcation to get it to work. I do not know how and how much it would cost to relocate my altenator? Can anyone give me some guidence please.. Thanks Dan
