I have had a HOLLEY BLUE on mine for 3 years. No issues. I use a Holley regulator at 5lbs. Works Great!

BTW. my regulator has been moved off the cylinder head for safety.

Several people recommended the Mallory e-pumps since they are quiet compared to the Holley pumps. I have a Mallory Comp 110 on mine, but I'm planning to try either a Holley blue or the bigger Summit brand pump. No matter which one you decide on, just make sure you run a good filter before it.

If you want ultimate reliability run a return style system. It will cost more to set up but your pump will run cooler and last longer since excess fuel is returned to the tank instead of being restricted in the feed line. I personally run a bosch 044 pump and a aeromotive 13204 regulator 13202 will work also. That way you can also add a supercharger or turbo later and use a blow thru carb if you want. Only drawback is you'll need a -8 feed and -8 or -10 return to run a injection style pump. You could also run the hp 125 or 150 pump from holley with one of those regulators I listed I have setup fuel systems using all of these parts with good results. BTW alot of people swear by the holley color pumps but I have always heard mixed results about them. Last rule of thumb NEVER skimp on your fuel system ALWAYS buy a little more than you need. It really sucks when a $300 fuel system kills a $2000 (or more) motor.

Just curious, I am planning to run the fuel injection, but am now thinking about a carb. I have a walbro pump, will this work if I run a carb regulator? I have a return already plummed

If it is setup the way I mentioned then yes. You'll have to run one of the aeromitive regs I listed. Others may work also but I only have experience with those. Basically your return must be at least as large as the supply or bigger. For example mine is -8 feed and -10 return 13204 reg with a bosch 044 pump from a sumped tank.

I personally ran a walbro 255 intank, and a mallory 4309 regulator, and used the stock 3/8 feed and 5/16 return on my car. Worked great, was very very quite, and very dependable. I ran it with my below set up, and still do actually with just a 4305 regulator now, plunty of room to grow too if I was still carb.

I have a Holley billet HP150. Its much quiter than the Holley blue and it rated to support 900 hp but was more pricey. If I had it do over I would likely go with the Barry Grant 220HR set up. It is very quiet, can support over 1k hp and is dessigned for street use. My buddy has the BG set up on his 70 Chevelle that runs 9's at 4100 pounds for 3 years with zero problems!
