Default <<<L92swap>>>for my 95IMPALA

I just picked up a L92 with brain and wire harness. And would like to swap it into my 95 impala, I'm new to this site and I am lookin for some help from the pros on here. Real talk is this gonna be hell for me. Im about to buy the CC cam that was showed in the march issue of GM high-tech perf. not sure what else to add on this monster besides the cam, and long tubes. All tips, advise will be very helpfull.

THANKS

First off you'll need a set of motor mounts for the Impy. Street and Performance has a set. http://www.hotrodlane.cc

Had my '96 Impy for 10 years, sold it to get my Avalanche, still miss it.

Probably want to post most of your questions in the Hybrid section.

do you think it will be hard to do, also how can I bolt up my older version of the 4L60E to this L92 I heard you can use an adapter.

It's not too bad. I would recommend using the 6l90e transmission since you have a controller for it and need a different transmission anyway. I have a 96 Impala with an LY6 6.0 (now a 403) and a T56.

right on homie, i cant wait for mine to come out, but im not in a hurry, unemployed from ford and dont know when in going back so it sucks. So as much as i wanna complete it and buy some more goodies for the imp, i have to watch my funds. It sucks any other blue colar workers in the same boat as me, i feel ya, it sucks!!!

is there any other way to control the 4l60 without a stand alone controller for it? also will the 4l60 bolt up to the l92 or is a different bellhousing needed?

If you are referring to using a 4l60e with the E38 computer that the L92 uses, no you have to use an aftermarket computer. Chacho44, what kind of pointers do you need? I would advise you to go to the Conversions & Hybrids section on this forum as well as Impalassforum.com and most of your answers will be answered.

You may be able to run a 4l80e but I'm not 100% or use the new Lingenfelter unit that converts the 58x crank signal & 4x cam signals back into 24x crank & 1x cam signals and use an LS1 ECM to control the engine and the 4l60e.
