I have a ls1 in a old chevy .I just installed a moroso batt dis connect switch and have a question.Should I always keep a 12 volt source for the computer?I have a wire on the John Speartech modded harness and see a wire marked always hot, will the computer have to go through a learning curve every time I use the disconnect switch? Thanks Dan

Everytime you cut off the power to it for a few minutes, it will have to relearn the idle.

Yes so I ran 2 12 ga wires(one extra or for memory on stereo or???) from rear of car(batt location)to the orange wire on speartechs re worked harness.

I also have a cutoff switch. Initially I did not have it wired always hot and never had much of a problem if I shut the power off for a day or two. Since then I have taken the orange wire from my Speartech harness and connected it to the input side of the switch so it always has 12v as long as the battery is installed. That was guidance I got from John.
