Default valve noise question.

when my car is at a lower rpm (1000- 2500) i can give it gas sometimes and it sounds like my valves are rattling. most of the time this happens when im pulling out from a stop, or if i just jab the gas. i drive an 01 m6 and i feather the gas to pull out and thats when i hear it, or like i said when the petal gets a quick jab. is this the norm or is there something i an adjust. the car has done this since i bought it used with 67k on the clock

problem 2. at wot my car has a high rpm tick sound the seems to come from the left front. it doesnt happen all the time and when it does its not very loud. itll tick like 4 or 5 times. like tick tick tick then goes away. ive heard some newer cars do this so it never really worried me to much but id still like to know the cause or if it actually is a problem.

any help would be great thanks

Sounds like a possible exhaust leak for both problems. Or maybe piston slap with problem #1...

Is this an engine swap car? If not, then wrong section.

Is the engine stock or modified?
Headers or stock manifolds?
Original clutch?

Sounds like detination. Use a higher octane fuel.

the engine is stock for the most part with stock headers. and i must have unknowingly clicked the wrong section my bad. and im not sure if the clutch has ever been replaced or not. i dont think it has.

as for the fuel ill give that a shot, i usually run 87 anyway unless i go to the track
