I have had some trouble for awhile now. The engine would not pull past 6600, it was like you cut the key off and back on several times. Sometimes it would even backfire out the exhaust real loud.

Tried numerous stuff and nothing fixed it, I had convince myself it was a reluctor wheel problem.

The fix was a ground problem. I have the battery in the back and it is grounded to the frame. The engine it grounded to the frame with another battery cable, and the msd is grounded to the block. I ran a #8 wire from the battery to where the msd is grounded on the block. It pulls past 7000 now.

Thought this might be helpfull to someone fighting the same problem.
