I used 2 Denso AX168000-3240 (IRRC) fans with the cable tie things to mount it. The fans are absolutley huge and the two take up the entire OE radiator. I have them both set to come on at 185* with a 160* stat. I have not seen temps higher than 191* yet.
I remember being told they came out of a Super-Duty Ford, but now that I think about it those trucks dont even have electric fans. This was in 2002.
Will try to get pics up tonight.

For my 68 Cutlass I used Electric fans from a Dodge Concord. I'm not sure of the year but I could find out. Send me a PM.

I am using the fans from like a 95 intrepid. With wise they are a perfect fit on my stock radiator. Height wise they are maybe an inch short but they move a ton of a air and once the come on my temps stay at 200 with the stock thermostat. Need to put a 160 in.

Using dual Spal's with a Spal controller like bczee is. The Spal PWM is an additional cost but it varies the fan speed based on the engine temp. This is a nice feature in stop and go traffic in August. The fan is not constantly cycling on an off. I run off of the primary fan only and when at the track i use the secondary fan to cool down between passes. A buddy uses the "tortise" fans on his Skylark. He is running a F1C procharger and a HUGE intercooler without any issues. The "tortise" units can be picked up fairly cheap.

im using, 2- 13" spawl fans, and an AFCO a body conv. radiator-i had the fans left over from a prev project, but to buy them new would be exp.
i run an intercooler along with a procharger, and it cools fine-one fan uses a relay and a sensor, the other i can operat man. with a relay and switch-i might switch to an adjustable thermo. for the main fan, kicks in higher than i would prefer

x2 on the Ford Windstar. I used them for my small block in my chevelle and will keep them with the LS1. Notch for the top hose, trim a little on the right and make a couple of small "L" brackets for the bottom. Got some pictures here:http://s469.photobucket.com/albums/rr60/sbsrkh1/Pulley/

One other feature that is nice is that the Spal PWM controller can set the temp manually on the fly so. You don't have to have your PCM tuned for fan/temp settings. I can change it anytime for the summer or winter driving.
It also can be manually activated with a switch or when the AC comes on by using the blue wire on the controller.
To set the temps low and high speeds, Just push the buttons at the temp you want the fans to activate.

"FAN-PWM" is the SPAL Controller part number, search the internet or ebay for the best price.. about $89.95 retail.

It can control two fan if setup with the optional relay, I was able to use the stock OEM LS1 sensor as input to the controller.

You may be able to find this PWM on evil bay but Spal has a new unit out which replaces this one. I have this one on my car now but the primary fan controller is shorted internally (my fault) and I have the new unit sitting in the garage ready to install. The unit bczee linked worked great for a few years till I screwed it up during some harness mods I was making. This was of course after a few to many during a late night thinning out the stock harness.

I'm using the Ford Taurus fan (The robocop years ). It moves a lot of air but it is only a single fan. It also has a high and a low trigger (3 wires). Not exactly sure how I want to wire up the 3 relay fan switching system on the LS1 PCM. I'll figure it out when I get to it.
Be careful on this... the high side circuit draws A LOT of current. I toasted a Bosch 40amp relay in the middle or S. California rush hour traffic. I'm currently only using the low side now and still am able to stay below 190 D. I don't think you will need the high setting but might be good to wire it up anyway.
I'm using a stock copper radiator equivalent.
