Default Standalone LS1 PCM/Harness Question

Hopefully this will be a simple yes/no answer.

I will be doing the standalone harness mods myself but don't have the tools/program to perform the ECU tune. I need to programatically delete ABS, TCS, EVAP, EGR and everything I'm not going to be using.

I'd like to get the car running so I can drive it to my mechanic for the actual tune (gear ratio, shift points, redline, etc...) Trying to save money on towing or shipping out my ECU.

Will the motor start without all these items hooked up? I'm assuming yes but i'll just have error codes all over the place, right?

Been searching for weeks on mounts, harness mods, oil pan, fuel system, etc and haven't ran into a solution for this question.

Will it start yes, Will it run like crap and go into limp mode, Probably due to the evap. But it will start and run the evap is the only thing that is going to give you hell (maybe).

Unless you disable/delete the VATS, the engine will not stay running for more than 2 seconds.

What I did was get a mail tune from Jesse at Wait4meperformance. Not sure of his prices now. but it was $85.00 including the shipping back.

If the shop is not that far. Just get it towed there.

Thanks guys. It doesn't seem like I have a choice but to get it to him before hand.

It will start and run fine with just a VATS box. I'm running an unflashed PCM in my RX7. No emissions equipment at all.

We can also tune out the security system through a mail in tune.

That would depend on what setting the Vats value is set for. If its set for PWM, you can use a vats box, but if its set for serial, that will not work
