Default Travel Question Mounting Clutch Master

I am fabricating a bracket from my clutch pedal to the Fbody clutch master cylinder and using a S&P bracket. I have nothing covering the floor at this time and the pedal hits the master cylinder body before it actually hits the floor but should be fine after carpet, clutch stop, and ect. My concern is after i bleed it and the clutch is disengaged the pedal will be way off the floor.
Does the master cylinder need to be pushed to full travel to disengage the throwout bearing?
If the master cylinder is pushed to full travel will it over extend the throwout bearing/cause thrust bearing or clutch problems?

The Master should travel about 1", if you have a problem of over travel. put a stop on the pedal to keep it from moving too far.. else your going to damage the master at some point.

When I did mine I set it up for 1" of travel also. That will ensure proper disengagement of the clutch.
