Default drive by wire throttle? How bad is this swap?

I have a 2006 5.3 with drive by wire throttle control. Is this hard to swap over?

to another vehicle. What would be involved to wire it into the new harness? Just wondering if it is easily done or more trouble than it is worth. The pedal itself looks easy enough to switch over, but the wiring I am not sure.

If you have a computer and motor set-up with drive by wire. Then the only other 2 pcs are the Pedal Assemble and Tac Control box which transfer the signal to the ECM.

The pedal assemble get bolted to the floor and then just run your wires to the box and ecm.

What is the Tac Control Box? What does it do?

processes the pedal signal and transmits it to the PCM.
TAC= Throttle Actuation Control.

IIRC, your 2006 setup might very well be new enough that it no longer uses the TAC module, just does everything through the PCM. I know that my 2008 engine doesn't need one, but I'm not entirely sure when the cutover was.

Seems to me that it would be worth investigating...
