after a year out with a spun bearing and many months of repair work taking out the old engine and fitting a new forged ls6 block i finally got out on track this month. i entered a small club sprint (47 cars) on an old RAF base and was pleased to place 6th overall in my T70 Lola replica. i was still using a 5,000rpm rev limit and i hadnt driven the car properly on track in a year, so was going at about 70% i reckon of what the car can do.
was great to get out on track again and i've attached a couple of pictures of the car from the day. spec is Ls6 block with forged pistons and rods, stock 241 heads, 220/220 cam and GMPP intake. msd 6010 box, carb is a demon 750 with mech secondaries. drives very well even on part throttle. the only slight issue is cold starts, with no idle control you just have to hold the throttle a little till it warms up and holds a steady idle, but its not a road car so i can live with that!

yea its a porsche G50 5 speed box (inverted) with an alloy bellhousing adaptor to the gm block.

i love it but still at the worrying stage every time i drive it incase anything happens to the engine. one blow up is enough for anyone!
