Default LQ9 horse power rating

What would a LQ9 motor out of a 07 vortec maxx pickup with the carb conversion and L92 heads make for horse power? what kinda times would be expected in a notchback mustang? just wondering if it is worth the time and money or just stick to the 347 i have. I can also get this motor minus the carb conversion and the L92 heads with all the stock stuff and accesories with 38000 miles for 1100.00 is that a good deal?

Its an LY6, not LQ9. $1100 for a complete low mileage engine is pretty good. If you can get the harness and computer too for that price, I'd say keep it FI.

As far as how fast it will go... that's up to you.

Actually it could be a LQ9 as the 07 still had the "classic trucks" GMT800's and had the Vortemax still till the new trucks came out in mid year.

If its a GMT900 (The newest body style, it'll have the L76 all aluminum 6.0L with VVT/AFM and the L92 heads already.

The LY6 is an iron block 6.0L VVT (l92 heads) only used in the 07-up GMT900 2500HD/3500HD trucks.

As for the 6.0L and L92 heads/carb depending on cam. I would think 450+ hp maybe more! I would just get a LS3 intake and run the fuel injection with the L92 heads!

I was assuming since he said it was an 07 and has L92 heads, it was a LY6.
