I had a pontiac 2nd gen ,so i had to locate my own frame mounts anyway. But I do notice in your picture that the passingerside frame mount is upside down or wrong. The tit at the bottom rear of the frame mount should be up so that it stops the clamshell from going down any further.I really can,t see the tit on the driverside frame mount so I don,t known if its right. Good luck

I'd swap the engine mounts to opposite sides and see if that fixes the issue.

Or it could be the frame mounts

I installed my frame mounts on the wrong side..... took me a few hours to figure that one out

good luck with it

Did the car have a v8 or 6 in it before? Are the top mounts from a car or truck? How much movement is there in the rubber part of the mount? Can you pick up on the connected side any?

I do agree that the photos are either deceiving or the mounts are upsidedown or reversed,

One thing that I've noticed on a friends build is that changing the mounts to polys makes the install somewhat easier too.

The car was a v8 305 from factory. It had a 350 when I got it. The clam shells are off that 350 , there is very little movment in both . Am going to try flipping the clams shells
