Default '49 Buick, LS1, 4L60E

Been driving it for the past two months on nice days, working out some bugs..

Started life as a '49 with a straight eight rated at a whopping ~120HP and a dynalflow trans, with a torque tube going to the rear.

Soon after it went under the knife. Started out with a late 80s B-Body front clip, original steering column cut and mated to power steering box, booster/master under the drivers floor working with a factory brake pedal.

Rear end is a GM 10Bolt with 3.73s and Eaton posi, narrowed and centered with moser axles.

Under the hood is a '01 Camaro LS1, truck intake manifold, S&P block hugging accessories, summit radiator, wiring harness made by me out of a truck harness, computer inside under the dash. The rest of the car got a painless 18-circuit harness.

Trunk mounted Optima

Rockvalley gas tank, had to send them original one for measurements

Took it to the track two weeks ago, ran a 13.60 @ 102 with 2.0 60', pretty good i think

now im trying to fight IATs, they get pretty hot from the radiator...Ive been toying with an idea of flipping the intake manifold and running the intake around the back of the motor..

I'll bet you suprised a few people at the track! Are you going to paint it? Personally I'd leave it the way it is, a real sleeper.

for now its definitely staying the way it is... i have to order the heat/ac stuff, and do the power wipers. Right now i just used that rust converter stuff on all the spots on the body..

Looks like you've been swapping quite a bit !!! certainly this one should retain its killer sleeper image as that white caprice is a mean, menacing *****. Killer builds !!!

Its been a while.. went through a couple of motors, from stock LS1 to stock L92, then to 427LSX with LS7 heads, swapped LS7 heads to L92 heads and bolted on eForce. Melted two pistons at the track, and here I am.

441LSX, Ported LS7 heads, and Hillborn injection. Finished around september of last year, brought it home and Sandy covered the car to the top of the steering wheel. Now almost a year later, still in recovery mode.. all fluids drained got the car running. replaced valve springs, valve seals, and rockers. replaced coil packs, pcm, battery, and had to re-wire the whole car again. This time used ISIS 3-cell system. Dropped off and had all rust areas cut out, shaved trunk lid, widened quarters 2" on each side. Did all LED headlights / markers / tail lights this time around. Enough rambling, here's some pics:
