Start with LS1 then switch over to LS2 later?
I can't make my mind up on what I want/need to do.
My ultimate goal is to be able to put down around 500rwhp, while keeping it NA.
I currently already have a 98 LS1 out of my Camaro donor car.
The question that I am now playing around with is if I should go ahead and just do the necessary plumbing, wiring, etc, to get the LS1 swapped in and get it up and running. I would run the LS1 as is for a while, as I build up an LS2 engine for the power goals I want.
OR
Should I just sell the LS1 that I have now, and then just put all of that money and time into getting an LS2 built instead?
How much additional work would it to get the LS2 electronics/mechanics to run in a car that was already prepped/running with an LS1?

If your goal is to have 500rwhp then you need to start with the biggest engine possible. Starting with an LS1 now and switching later is counter productive. I would look into an L92. All LS2/3 engines used a DBW throttle body, 58 tooth crank wheels, etc.
