Default LQ9 AC onnto 94 caprice??

Will a 2003 LQ9 AC compressor function correctly when hooked up to a '94 Caprice? To clarify, I have a lq9 in a 94 caprice and need to get the AC working.LQ
I've done the search thing and get tons of replies stating that it is a variable displacement compressor and that it will not work due to the prerssure ratings on the low side, it'll ice up, etc. Also I've found it works perfectly just hook it up and go.

Are there any competent certified AC specialists out there who can give me a definitive yes or no answer. I do not want to use a sanden compressor or high mount a compressor on the passenger side as I have my Magnacharger initake tubing running there.

if the LQ9 compressor will not work, what about modding the LQ9 bracket and use a 5.7 L35 ac compressor as the outlets are on the top/side rather than the back?
Thx.
